We have worked with Zach and the team at G on two hardscape projects over the last five years. In both, we basically had the design vision, and Zach helped us refine it and execute on it. We are very pleased with the result of the projects, both of which have made our home more comfortable and enabled us to realize indoor-outdoor living. The projects included large poured concrete pads for the front walk, laying of prefabricated concrete pavers on the sideyard and back, a pergola and deck, and lighting, drainage, and the main irrigation lines throughout. Zach was very responsive, and his team leads knew their stuff and were very friendly easy to work with. The pavers on the side- and back-yard took longer than Zach had initially planned for, in part because this was a product his team had never worked with. Nonetheless, they stuck with it and did a good job with the grading and fulfilled our rather complicated design vision perfectly. Guests always comment on how nice the pavers look. Zach's team was also kind to all our established plants in the process, which is not always the case in hardscaping efforts. The team coordinated well with other contractors, too, as we had window replacements and fencing occurring at the same time. If you are thinking about doing any sort of landscaping on your property, look no further than the G Family Landscaping! I honestly cannot say enough positive things about them! We "shopped around" a lot and not only did they seem the most honest and fair price wise, but you could tell they were very dedicated to making whatever your dream was-come true. We had a very hilly, terraced backyard (of course, in Sausalito) that was essentially useless, overgrown with ivy and unsafe for our toddler. Over the past year they helped us create an incredible oasis of tranquility with perfect hangout spots for social gatherings, and amazing (kid-friendly) play areas, along with beautiful hand-crafted stone planting beds for our garden and orchard. Besides the useful beauty they cultivate, I cannot speak highly enough about is the work ethic of the G Family, especially Zach Wahle and his phenomenal Landscaping team. They, (along with Dave Grabham, who helped design all the tricky hardscape) worked tirelessly to convert an unused space, into an essential part of our lives which we enjoy spending time in every day. Zach and Dave helped us work through design ideas and were very open to meeting to discuss changes as things developed to suit our needs. Zach's vast knowledge of plants is invaluable, and he really listened to what we wanted in terms of "looks and feels" for the difference zones of the landscaping. It was reassuring and really easy to work with a company that is, quite literally, a family as they can take care of every step of the process from design, to hardscaping concrete retainer walls, to plumbing and electrical work to the gorgeous landscaping and perfect plant placement. They constantly checked in throughout the construction going over billing questions, and then have continued to care for the landscaping months after completion to ensure everything not only survives, but thrives! (Even replacing a few unhappy plants or lights out). Zach, Dave and all of their team members are super skilled, thorough, kind, fair and an absolute pleasure to work with!
